Havannah Harbour, Vanuatu is well known for the Marlin highway which runs from the front of Port Vila Harbour, north to Nguna Island.
Blue Marlin from 50kg to 300kg are regularly raised and tagged, with 5 FAD's strategically located out the front and north to hold plenty of Mahi Mahi, Wahoo and Yellow Fin Tuna. A fishless day is rare.
Vanuatu has some of the best fishing
in the world. With the waters remaining a tepid temperature all year,
Marlin fishing is all year round.
Vanuatu is made up of many sea mounts, great for trying to find one
of the bluewater speedsters - including GTs, Dogtooth Tuna, Sailfish,
Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna.
We have a great assortment of Marlin, including Pacific Blue Marlin,
Black Marlin and Striped Marlin.
BEST TIMES FOR FISHING
April to November
Mahi Mahi, also known as Dorado or Dolphin Fish are frequently caught at this time of year.
Wahoo are also one of the fastest swimmers in the sea, making it a great catch during this time.
May to September
Striped Marlin is in season. It's cousin, the Black Marlin can also be found during this time.
November to March
Blue Marlin can be found in abundance during this time.
Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, and Dogtooth Tuna are in season year round, some of the biggest Yellow Fin have been caught November to July.
